The 2017 Middle School Tournament season wrapped up with a final game at the Houston Polo Club and ERG Arena in Houston, Texas. Rocking P and Team Tejas headed into the arena to play for the final set of Middle School Tournament trophies.
With help from teammates Abby Benton and Christian Fridge, Team Tejas’ Will Mudra kicked off the scoring with goals from the field, including a two-point shot. Lilly Lequerica cut the lead to two with a tally for Rocking P to end the first chukker 3-1. Mudra scored again to open the second chukker, but Rocking P’s Bridget Price nailed a shot from the penalty line to keep the gap at two heading into half time.
Defensive play from Rocking P’s Dani Price and Lequerica kept Team Tejas scoreless, while three goals from Bridget Price gave Rocking P a 5-4 lead. Rocking P continued their offensive and defensive barrage in the fourth chukker, Bridget Price adding two more goals, to seal the comeback win 7-4.
Abby Benton, Christian Fridge, Will Mudra and Bridget Price were selected as tournament All-Stars. Christian Fridge was given the Sportsmanship Award by her peers. Will Mudra's Thing 2 was selected as the Best Playing Pony for the second year in a row.

The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
