The Team USPA players who have been training in Australia in preparation for the FIP Zone "A" World Championship Playoffs concluded their tour on April 17. According to coach Joel Baker, "in the photos, we split our players up into a 14-goal and 13-goal team and pitted them against an 18-goal team—both our teams dominated. We still need the the 2-goalers to improve their anticipation, but they are getting better every day. All team members are really working well together and for each other." In the remaining days the team focused on knock-ins and penalty shots. During the final scrimmage on Monday, before flying back to the United States, Baker once again split the players into two teams which scrimmaged against each other. "They gave each other great competition and are playing our kind of teamwork," Baker recounted. "Everybody is doing so well that it will be difficult to select the playing team. We look forward to being back in Florida at the end of the week."

The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
