The Team USPA High-Goal Achievement Award was created to honor standout Team USPA players who have succeeded in the highest level of polo competition while upholding the mission of Team USPA. The USPA is proud to announce Costi Caset as this year’s recipient of the Team USPA High-Goal Achievement Award.

This past summer, Caset won the coveted Pacific Coast Open tournament at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club in Carpinteria, California, with Restoration Hardware. After an impressive performance in the final, Costi was awarded Most Valuable Player and Best Playing Pony. This winter, he played alongside his 10-goal cousin Sapo Caset throughout the International Polo Club Palm Beach (IPC) 20-Goal Season with Tonkawa, reaching one final and a semifinal.

Caset spent his childhood traveling between Santa Barbara, California, and Argentina in order to play in the highest-rated polo possible. In 2013, Caset won the Copa Provincia and competed in La Copa Republica, a 0- to 40-goal tournament, with a 20-goal team. Caset was selected for Team USPA in 2016 and has proven to be a positive contribution to the program. He enjoys giving back to the sport through junior polo, by hosting a tournament in his brother’s honor and helping with local NYTS tournaments.

Caset graciously accepted the award following the featured Sunday match at IPC, presented by USPA Chairman, Joseph Meyer and Team USPA Co-Chair, Jimmy Newman. "I was really excited to receive this award because playing the high goal in California and Florida is something I had been working towards for a long time. I was given the opportunity to play in both and it was a great experience. I feel like winning this award is a great honor and to be recognized for my hard work is awesome."
