For those wishing to host an I/I preliminary or regional tournament in 2019, please fill out the application by May 11, 2018. Application can be found here.
For those wishing to apply to host a national I/I tournament, please read below for a brief overview and follow this link for full details.
In order to be considered as a National Host Site, the venue must have successfully hosted a regional level tournament in the past. All host sites who wish to put in a bid to be a 2019 and 2020 host will be considered based on the following criteria: host facilities, including arena, footing, indoor vs. outdoor, typical weather conditions for applicable time of year, availability of stabling, availability and quality of horses, dates, regional support, local accommodations and travel accessibility.
Effective Date: Saturday, May 16, 2020
The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
