Pacific Coast Circuit Women’s Challenge
Tournament History
Eldorado Polo Club in Indio, California, launches their 2020 season with the Pacific Coast Circuit Women’s Challenge on December 27-29, one of nine USPA-sanctioned tournaments hosted at the club.
Flight A, played at the 14- to 18-goal level, consists of defending champions Alazanas Foxi with returning players Kate Weber, Malia McCoy and Jessica Bailey to battle for the title against Bearsden. Bearsden won runner-up in Flight B last year and will return this year in Flight A with returning player and team owner Carol Farnsworth. It is set to be a tough competition playing against Alazanas Foxi's Weber, who based on her steady, strong and knowledgeable play, was selected as the Most Valuable Player in last year's final.
Flight B, an 8- to 12-goal tournament, will be fielding an impressive eight teams, including Central Coast Polo Club, Ohana Polo/Somerset, Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club, California Polo Club, Rancho Del Sol, GK Farms Sponsored by Bill Gumma, Sutter Buttes and Lunch Money/Sayulita. Of the eight teams, only one is returning (Central Coast Polo Club), making for an extremely competitive tournament with fresh matchups and no standout favorite.
