ASSOCIATION CUP
TOURNAMENT HISTORY
Established in 1980, the Association Cup is a national 4- to 8-goal tournament. Toledo-Steppenwolf was the initial winner with Bradock Alexander, Robert Puetz, Willie Gutierrez and Dennis Rogers. This year, the 2020 Association Cup will be hosted at New Bridge Polo & Country Club (New Bridge) in Aiken, South Carolina. After a six-year hiatus, the tournament returns strong fielding seven teams, including Out East, Brookland Plantation, Upatoi Green, Cooper Home & Stable/Peachtree, SIG, Triple Crown/La Bourgone and Skaneateles. Amongst the competition are Team USPA members, Hope Arellano (Out East) and Lucas Arellano (Out East).
The last time this tournament was played was in 2013 at Palm City Polo Club, LLC. After defeating State Farm with a three-point lead, Boca Polo was crowned as champions of the 2013 Association Cup. Although Boca Polo will not be returning this year, this USPA-national tournament is guaranteed to reignite action and passion for this classic tournament.
