Coming from humble beginnings, Tinicum Park Polo Club has grown over the years from a handful of players and enthusiasts to over 50 playing members and a 20-week summer season, making it the largest club in the Eastern Circuit. The four-month season now includes staple events such as USPA tournaments, Wine & Polo, Pooches & Polo as well as a benefit match to support the Work to Ride program in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

“Thank you to players, social members and volunteers at Tinicum Park Polo Club for all of the time and dedication to support the club and to the United States Polo Association for all of the support and guidance throughout the years.”  – Hesham El-Gharby, Tinicum Park Polo Club Manager

Several members have been with the club since the very beginning in 1993. Tinicum Park Polo Club’s Manager, Hesham El-Gharby, is one of those founding members. Over the past two-and-a-half decades his knowledge and passion for the sport has helped spur the club forward creating new players and playing opportunities along the way. Tinicum Park Polo Club is thrilled to celebrate its 25th year in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. For its Jubilee Anniversary, a gala and feature match were held June 22-23. The black-tie affair was a celebration and culmination of all of the hard work, dedication and community effort from all of its members, past and present, to get the club where it is today. The feature match was an International Friendship Match, Tinicum Park Polo Team versus the Egyptian National Team, to commemorate a long-standing relationship between Tinicum Park Polo Club and the Egyptian Polo Federation.

The match had a special halftime intermission to celebrate the young members of the club in a fun chukker for kids ranging from elementary to high school aged players. Including youth polo in the weekend’s celebration highlighted the club’s core values of creating a welcoming community atmosphere for players of all skill levels and promoting the importance of family in the sport of polo. Tinicum Park Polo Club strives to continue its unique history for an additional 25 years and grow along the way.
