The U.S. Polo Assn. brand continues its global expansion – Three new licensing partners tapped for Asia

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., USA — (March 30, 2017) USPA Global Licensing Inc. announces the addition of three new licensing partners for the U.S. Polo Assn. brand, the official brand of the United States Polo Association. These new partnerships expand the U.S. Polo Assn. brand within Asia, with new opportunities in China and South East Asia.

A license agreement with Grand Billion Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., will introduce U.S. Polo Assn. brand children’s footwear in the People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. Grand Billion is a children’s footwear entity that is part of Belle International Holding Limited, the number one women’s footwear retailer in China. The new footwear collection will be available online and in select children’s footwear stores in Spring 2017.

Changzhou Yicai Brands Management Co., Ltd. (“Yicai”) is the new licensee for men’s and women’s apparel and small leather goods in the People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong and Macau. Beginning August 2017, Yicai will introduce the U.S. Polo Assn. branded apparel collections inspired by classic American style with a fresh interpretation of the connection to the sport of polo. Yicai is a privately held women’s and men’s apparel and intimates manufacturing, retailing and distribution company in China.

Singapore-based F J Benjamin Pte Ltd., will introduce the U.S. Polo Assn. brand into the South East Asia market through U.S. Polo Assn. branded stores with an initial focus on women’s and men’s apparel. F J Benjamin plans to open its first U.S. Polo Assn. branded store in Malaysia in Fall 2017. F J Benjamin is a public company that develops retail and distribution networks for international luxury and lifestyle brands across Asia as well as handling promotional and brand building efforts within the region.

“U.S. Polo Assn.’s approachable style and authentic connection to the sport of polo is reaching new audiences as we continue to expand the brand globally and we see the Asia market as a high potential region,” said David Cummings, President of USPA Global Licensing Inc. “We are excited to be collaborating with three strong partners for these new launches,” he added.

The new partners will add to a family of U.S. Polo Assn. branded products that includes apparel for men, women and children, accessories, handbags, luggage, watches, footwear and more. U.S. Polo Assn. brand products are available in more than 135 countries worldwide through more than 800 U.S. Polo Assn. brand stores, along with department stores, e-commerce sites, and other retail outlets.
