Mark your calendars! This December, unlock your player potential and join Corky and Kathy Linfoot for a weekend of polo excellence at the 2023 Linfoot Clinic, held at Eldorado Polo Club in Indio, California.

Hone your polo skills under the guidance of seasoned professionals while immersed in the luxurious atmosphere of the Eldorado Polo Club. Led by the dynamic duo Corky and Kathy Linfoot, along with the skilled expertise of Erik Wright, Jared Sheldon* and Liz Holson, the Linfoot Clinic promises an unforgettable experience tailored to polo enthusiasts of all levels. With over 16 hours of specialized instruction, this clinic is sure to take your game to the next level.

The Linfoot clinic kicks off Friday evening at the elegant Eldorado Clubhouse with a Meet & Greet, providing participants with the unique opportunity to mingle with fellow riders and clinic instructors, all against the stunning backdrop of the Santa Rosa Mountains.

Throughout the weekend, clinicians will cover a comprehensive curriculum designed to enhance every facet of polo performance. From classroom discussions to mounted exercises encompassing riding, hitting and strategy sessions, every moment is meticulously crafted to maximize learning and growth. The highlight of the clinic, the coaching chukkers, will be recorded with insightful commentary, allowing participants to relive and dissect every move.

Early birds receive a special rate of $800.00 when registering before Saturday, November 11, with a deposit of just $250.00 to secure a spot. For those who miss the early registration window, late registration is available for $1,000.00 (with the same $250.00 deposit requirement) if space permits.

MEET THE INSTRUCTORS

Corky Linfoot is a renowned polo horse trainer, team coach, former 7-goal player, and winner of the U.S. Open Polo Championship® along with many other high-goal polo tournaments. His wife, Kathy, is a well-known horse trainer, riding instructor and videographer. Together they have been conducting clinics for over 30 years.

Erik Wright has over 25 years of professional experience playing, coaching and teaching people to play polo, regardless of previous riding experience. Wright holds clinics throughout the country, where he has introduced thousands of new players to the sport. He is also the founder and manager of WrightWay Polo, a leading facility in northern California that provides polo instruction to players of all skill levels, in addition to providing horses for various major polo events such as the National Youth Tournament Series.

Hailing from a polo family, Team USPA alumnus Jared Sheldon currently holds a 4-goal outdoor handicap and 7-goals in the arena. Competing in intercollegiate polo, Sheldon took home the title of Open National Interscholastic Championship in 1999 and 2001 with Poway. A member of Eldorado Polo Club, Sheldon has won numerous USPA tournaments over his polo career including the National Twenty Goal, North American Cup, Western Challenge, National Eight Goal, National Sherman Memorial and National Arena Amateur Cup. Sheldon has captured the prestigious U.S. Open Arena Polo Championship in-back-to-back years (2016, 2017), while also representing USA on the International stage in the Townsend Cup.

A USPA member since 2007, Liz Holson is a certified instructor and dedicated educator in the sport of polo. Recipient of the 2018 Pacific Northwest Circuit Clint Nagle Equine Welfare Award, Holson is a mainstay in the Pacific Northwest claiming USPA titles including the Pacific Coast Circuit Amateur Cup and Carlton & Keleen Beal Cup.

HORSES AND STABLING

Two horses are recommended for both days of the clinic. You are invited to bring your own or rent horses for the clinic. For those who would like to bring their own horses for the clinic, please contact Debbie in the Eldorado Polo Club office at 760-221-6276.
