Aspen Valley Polo Club (AVPC), announced its summer schedule which features the prestigious Silver Cup®. Set against a breathtaking mountain backdrop, AVPC will host a record fourteen tournaments including the North American Cup® (July 14-20), United States Arena Handicap (July 24-August 7), and the Silver Cup® (July 24-August 11).

The North American Cup®, held in years past during the fall season at AVPC's sister club Grand Champions Polo Club in Wellington, Florida, will make its debut in Aspen in 2019. Last year's champion, Travieso, staged an incredible comeback for a stunning 14-13 overtime victory over Audi in the 20-goal tournament. The tournament has a rich tradition in history dating back to 1974. It has been a staple in American and Canadian polo for decades, played at the 16- to 20-goal level.

The United States Arena Handicap, first played for in 1980, is a national USPA tournament played at the 12-goal level. Claiming the trophy in 2017 and 2018, Flexjet currently stands as two-time defending champion.

Hosted at AVPC in 2019, the Silver Cup® is one of the highlights of the summer season. Played in Santa Barbara, California, since 2011, the illustrious tournament returned to the East Coast in 2017 and 2018, where it was hosted by Greenwich Polo Club in Greenwich, Connecticut.

In its five years of existence, Aspen Valley Polo Club has made a positive impact on the community, hosting kids polo camps, teaching lessons, and participating in several charity events.

The community's biggest social event of the summer is the Chukkers, Champagne & Caviar event on August 11, a fundraiser for the Aspen Valley Hospital Foundation. The club's marquis charity event raised $537,200 last summer and is held on the final day of the Rocky Mountain Open.
