ALL-STAR U.S. POLO ASSN. TEAM SET TO COMPETE IN HIGH-GOAL TOURNAMENT AT GRAND CHAMPIONS POLO CLUB

The United States Polo Association is proud to announce the U.S. Polo Assn. Sterling Cup 20-goal team competing at Grand Champions Polo Club in Wellington, Florida, March 2-17. The all-star U.S. Polo Assn. team will feature U.S. Polo Assn. Brand Ambassador Juan Bollini Jr. (4), alongside his father Juan Bollini (5), Jesse Bray* (5) and Hall of Famer Mike Azzaro (6). The eight-team tournament which begins on Friday, March 2, boasts celebrity filled rosters including 10-goalers Adolfo Cambiaso and Sapo Caset, along with International Polo Club Palm Beach high-goal team staples Flexjet, Tonkawa, Travieso, Audi, SD Farms and Valiente. According to Grand Champions Polo Club, “The Sterling Cup was resurrected by Grand Champions' owners Melissa and Marc Ganzi in hopes of recapturing polo's glory days.” Last played in the mid-1990s at the original South Florida polo haven and now defunct Palm Beach Polo Club, “the Sterling Cup was the second tournament of the 22-goal season at Palm Beach Polo after the January Challenge Cup […] It was considered the 22-goal championship and attracted as many as eighteen teams.”

Livestreamed on ChukkerTV, U.S. Polo Assn. made their tournament debut on Saturday, March 3, succumbing to defending champions Travieso 12-8. On Tuesday, March 6, U.S. Polo Assn. will face off against Flexjet and on Friday, March 9, they will take on Tonkawa.
