REGIONAL CLASSIC-SOUTHWESTERN
TOURNAMENT HISTORY
A national 12-goal tournament, the Regional Classic-Southwestern is returning to Brookshire Polo Club (Brookshire, Texas) for the first time since it's inauguration in 2011, where it was formerly named the Southwestern Regional Classic. Last competed for in 2018 at Houston Polo Club in Houston, Texas, the tournament final saw Tonkawa (Jeff Hildebrand, Troy Lequerica, Cody Ellis, Matt Coppola, Tommy Biddle) take home their first title, defeating BTA 9-8 in a competitive two-day championship final, resulting from postponements due to heavy rainfall.
This year's edition features five competitive teams vying for the title including, Whitehall/Brookshire Polo, Old Pueblo, Brown Bears, Eureka and Sendera. Amongst the competition is Team USPA alumnus Matt Coppola in search of his second Regional Classic-Southeastern championship, while fellow alumna Audry Persano (Old Pueblo) will team up with decorated American professional Jeff Hall in search of her first.
