NATIONAL OUTDOOR COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF CUP
TOURNAMENT HISTORY
The National Outdoor Commander-in-Chief Cup was first held in 2018 at Midland Polo Club in Midland, Texas, with Legacy (Kyle McGraw, Katy Escapite, Mitch Horne, Ernesto R. Natividad Jr., Pelon Escapite) defeating Lazy 3, 4.5-4.
A national 12-goal tournament, in the 2021 edition, Tito’s Handmade Vodka took home their second title in two years (Maddie Grant, James Uihlein, Alan Martinez, Joe Wayne Barry) demonstrating why they were the team to beat by converting six penalties on route to the 13-9 victory over Hillcroft (Vaughn Miller Jr., Herndon Radcliff, Mason Wroe, James Miller) at Sarasota Polo Club in Sarasota, Florida.
Returning to Sarasota Polo Club in 2022, this year's competition will see four teams battling for the Outdoor Commander-in-Chief Cup including Tito's looking to capture a third title with returning champions, James P. Uihlein and Joe Wayne Barry with new additions Del Walton and Team USPA Alumnus Steve Krueger, as former teammate Alan Martinez joins Barefield.
Recently competing in the Regional Classic-Southeastern, champions Whiskey Pond will seek to continue their 12-goal success at Sarasota Polo Club. Runners up in the Regional Classic-Southeastern, Hillcroft will be led by another Team USPA Alumnus Mason Wroe and Vaughn Miller Jr. fresh off his success capturing the prestigious 2021 U.S. Open Arena Polo Championship®
