FLORIDA CIRCUIT 16-GOAL SUPER-SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP

TOURNAMENT HISTORY

The Florida Circuit 16-Goal Super-Series Championship's inaugural season will culminate on Sunday, April 9, at the National Polo Center - Wellington's U.S. Polo Assn. Field One. An innovative effort spearheaded by the USPA Tournament Committee to draw more teams and participation into medium-goal competition, the Florida Circuit 16-Goal Super-Series Championship has been a true testament of collaboration. Participants are able to experience the comforts of their home club while also vying for the opportunity to play in front of a large crowd at NPC.

Hosted across South Florida, four prestigious national tournaments served as qualifiers for the Super-Series Championship including the Joe Barry Memorial (Port Mayaca Polo Club in Okeechobee, Florida), Ylvisaker Cup and Iglehart Cup (led by Patagones Polo Club in Wellington, Florida and a series of private fields falling under the Wellington Polo Tour umbrella) and the Continental Cup (Sarasota Polo Club in Sarasota, Florida).

To reinforce the idea that all participation is encouraged, players could compete in as many events as they would like on either the same team or on different teams, however, qualifying teams must maintain at least two of their original members in order to play in the championship.

Dominating in each qualifier they entered (Joe Barry Memorial, Ylvisaker Cup, Iglehart Cup), Iconica clenched their spot in the championship final with a phenomenal 16-goal season. Entering the final, Iconica boasts a staggering 15-1 record.

Attempting to end Iconica's reign, BTA, the runners-up in Joe Barry Memorial and Iglehart Cup, will go head-to-head against Continental Cup victors La Fe to determine who will advance to the Florida Circuit 16-Goal Super-Series Championship final. Representing Team USPA is alumnus Jesse Bray (BTA).
