EASTERN CIRCUIT WOMEN'S CHALLENGE
Tournament History
The Eastern Circuit Women's Challenge returns to Maryland Polo Club in Jarrettsville, Maryland, featuring competitive women's polo at the 12-15 goal level. The 2020 edition resulted in Quiet Creek Farm (Sophie Grant, Liv Stringer Berube, Hannah Reynolds, Olivia Reynolds) defeating Melinda's Prospect Farm 7-6 in a closely contested final. 2020 Most Valuable Player Sophie Grant is in search of her fourth consecutive title after winning in 2018 with Bad Ass Polo, 2019 with USPA Polo Development and in 2020 with Quiet Creek Farm. Joining Roseland Polo for 2021, Sophie Grant will play alongside sister Maddie Grant, Ali King and Liv Stringer Berube, who has captured the title with Sophie Grant for the past two years.
With their sights set on defending their title, Quiet Creek Farm returns with Olivia and Hannah Reynolds, while facing tough competition in Five String Farm and Taylor Hill Farm. Cindy Halle and Team USPA Alumna Anna Winslow-Palacios (Five String Farm) seek to add their names to the trophy after being finalists in 2020, while newcomers Taylor Hill Farm are led by 5-goaler Courtney Asdourian.
As the country emerges out of the COVID-19 crisis, the USPA established opportunities to support USPA Member Club events through the use of the COVID-19 USPA Polo Tournament Stimulus Package, which provides eligible USPA Member Clubs with waived tournament fees, trophies or reimbursements, one professional umpire and $2,500 in prize money per tournament at no extra cost. Maryland Polo Club will be taking advantage of the program for this tournament.
