USPA WOMEN’S TOURNAMENT INCENTIVE PROGRAM

The USPA Women’s Committee, in an effort to increase the number of Women’s Tournaments held in the United States, would like to allocate a portion of their budget to reimburse certain expenses for USPA Member Clubs that host a USPA women’s tournament at their club.

Requirements: All tournaments are subject to approval by your Circuit Governor or the USPA Tournament Committee.

  • These funds are in addition to any other available USPA funds
  • For Circuit events you must have a minimum of three teams competing in the event to be eligible for this reimbursement.
  • For National and Sanctioned events you must have a minimum of four teams competing in the event to be eligible for reimbursement.
  • These funds are limited and will be approved on a first come first served basis.
  • Concluding the tournament, you must submit compliant tournament results through the Tournament Database, a completed reimbursement form listing tournament expenses along with corresponding receipts.
  • Reimbursable expenses include but are not limited to:
    • Marketing
    • Announcer/timer
    • Flaggers
    • Tournament Social Event
  • Non-reimbursable Expenses:
    • Umpires
    • Tournament Fees
    • Alcohol

USPA COVID-19 UPDATE

Effective Date: Saturday, May 16, 2020

The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
