Seven Intercollegiate/Interscholastic (I/I) players have been selected to receive the USPA Intercollegiate Polo Scholarship for the 2016-2017 school year. These student athletes have demonstrated success on the playing field as well as in the classroom and we are delighted to announce the seven recipients: Tommy Huber (West Shore Polo Club), Olivia Graham (University of Kentucky), Franz Felhaber (Rancho Naranjo Polo Team), Julianna Gallo (Gardnertown Polo Club), Megan Rahlfs (Houston Polo Club), Ruth Witmer (Cornell Polo Club) and Ally Vaughn (Culver Academies). Requirements for the award include active participation in the I/I program, a GPA of 3.0, two letters of recommendation and a short essay about polo. Awards are auto-renewable up to four years provided that the students meet playing and eligibility requirements. Join us as we congratulate these outstanding student-athletes and wish them good luck in their collegiate careers!
The USPA Intercollegiate Polo Scholarship was launched in 2015 and awards six $4000 scholarships a year. By 2018, $100,000 In scholarship funds will be awarded to I/I players.

The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
