The qualifier season begins March 1 and continues through August 7, 2017. We look forward to having another full and successful season. The 2017 NYTS National Championship will be held at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club in Carpinteria, California.
New to the NYTS program this year is "Next NYTS" a second-level tournament that will feature an East vs. West Challenge. This second-level tournament will be played the same weekend as the NYTS National Championship and will be offered to NYTS participants rated A and below (more details to follow). No player can compete in both levels of the NYTS National Championship weekend, thus offering more opportunities for participants from all over the country to compete!
Note: Players' zones are determined according to their USPA membership registered home club. If a player wishes to change their zone, participants must register with their desired polo club no later than January 30 by contacting Lindsay Dolan at ldolan@uspolo.org.
Attention USPA Member Clubs: If you are interested in hosting a NYTS Tournament, please contact Amanda Snow at asnow@uspolo.org or Hayley Heatley at hayleyheatley1@gmail.com to schedule your event.
Effective Date: Saturday, May 16, 2020
The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
