“Chip McKenney and his team have done a masterful job in turning the game of polo into a platform for human rights. It is a feel-good event in every way and one that is not to be missed.” – Caroline Moran, President of the Goshen Hill Foundation, Inc.
The Gay Polo League (GPL) is fast approaching their most anticipated event of the year, the 8th Annual International Gay Polo Tournament presented by the Palm Beach County Human Rights Council.
On Saturday, April 8, spectators will experience the electrifying 8th Annual International Gay Polo Tournament at the iconic International Polo Club Palm Beach in Wellington, Florida. Teams will battle for the chance to raise the beautiful Founders Cup in the 1:00pm ET match and the coveted Senators Cup at 3:00pm ET.
“I am very proud and excited to be a supporter of the GPL,” said President of the Goshen Hill Foundation, Inc., Caroline Moran. “Chip McKenney and his team have done a masterful job in turning the game of polo into a platform for human rights. It is a feel-good event in every way and one that is not to be missed.” Goshen Hill, a returning sponsor, will be a team sponsor for the first time this year.
Cedar Crest Stables, owned by Catherine Malone, celebrates its seventh year as a team sponsor. Malone is an accomplished and well-known international dressage competitor. Outside the dressage arena, Malone is an advocate for equal rights for LGBTQ people.
“I am so pleased to return as a team sponsor for the GPL tournament,” said Malone. “I became involved with the GPL tournament because I enjoy supporting equal rights and the people involved in this event are a really great group. The GPL’s mission of inclusion is a principle that I truly connect with and that’s why I have stayed involved.”
