Mark your calendars to attend the highest rated polo tournament in North America! The annual Lucchese 40-Goal Polo Challenge to benefit the Polo Players Support Group (PPSG) returns to the International Polo Club Palm Beach (IPC) in Wellington, Florida, on Saturday, February 16, 2019! The Lucchese 40-Goal Polo Challenge is the marquee fundraising event of the PPSG, which provides financial assistance to seriously injured or ill players and grooms.
The 2019 match is sure to be as star-studded as ever, with the likes of Adolfo Cambiaso and the Pieres brothers lending their name to the cause in the past. Cambiaso, a veteran of the sport and the charity polo tournament has played a record 16 times and is always a crowd favorite.
Hot off the 2018 Argentine polo season, Facundo, Gonzalito and Nico Pieres are expected to make their returns, as well as other 10-goalers such as Sapo Caset and Hilario Ulloa. Following the 40-Goal match and awards presentation on the field, the PPSG invites you to the Pavilion at IPC for silent and live auctions, as well as a seated dinner with polo players and fans alike.
This year's event is dedicated to the grooms who are so integral to the sport of polo. The PPSG has provided over $2.5 million to 80 different grooms and players. The PPSG is firmly established and actively engaged in helping those so easily could have been forgotten such as Luis Gonzalez, Ruben Repollo, Patricio Vasquez and Joi Rodriguez. These examples along with dozens of others, were supported by the charitable funds raised at the annual 40-Goal Polo Challenge.
It's not too late to get involved with the cause in a bigger way! Sponsorship opportunities are still available, as well as live and silent auction item donations. Please contact Dave Offen at dave@polosupport.com or call (516) 528-3821 or (647) 620-4533 for more information.
