Port Mayaca Polo Club (PMPC) located in Okeechobee, Florida, is excited to announce new plans for an expanded 2019 polo season, and for the very first time in its history the offering of exclusive acreage for sale surrounding the club.

For the past eight years, PMPC has grown to become a strong and affordable low and medium-goal polo club. Together with plans for an expanded 2019 competitive season, major field upgrades were completed in 2018 and are continuing in 2019. As part of the growth plan, PMPC has just appointed Adrian Wade as the new Director of Polo for the 2019 polo season. Wade is an accomplished polo professional playing extensively in both the United Kingdom and Florida. As a longtime member of the prior Gulfstream Polo Club in Wellington, Florida, Wade knows firsthand the strengths behind and importance of a successful full service medium-goal polo club.

“Adrian’s thirty plus years of expertise and talent are very much in line with Port Mayaca’s philosophy of bringing people together to share in all aspects of the polo lifestyle,” said PMPC owner Steve Orthwein Jr. “As Director of Polo, Adrian will oversee and advise on all polo related activities at Port Mayaca, including the club’s unique offering of great club practice games every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday as well as advanced player practices every Wednesday.”

“The expanded tournament schedule will range between the 6- and 12-goal level as well as new specialty tournaments,” said Wade. “As far as club stabling, the club already had multiple options but would include for the first time for playing customers a full care and board for their horses at the club.”

“Having Adrian join the team at Port Mayaca compliments our family’s great plans for the growth and long term success of Port Mayaca Polo Club,” continued Orthwein. “For the very first time we are now offering for sale ready-to-build 20-acre farms tied to exclusive polo club membership at a fraction of Wellington prices which is very exciting. We have engaged Brad Scherer, President of Atlantic Western Realty Corp. to exclusively represent us in this effort. Complete offering information can be seen at portmayacapolofarms.com.”
