Eight GAUNTLET OF POLO® alums are on the roster for the Cartier Queen's Cup that begins Tuesday, July 28 and runs through Sunday, August 23, 2020 at Guards Polo Club in Windsor, England. Out of the 10 teams entered, one of the teams, Park Place, competed in the Florida high-goal winter season. Park Place's team owner, Andrey Borodin, will also sponsor a second team, Park Place Vaara, in the English competition. Most notably, competing with Borodin will be 2019 GAUNTLET champions Facundo and Gonzalito Pieres. Other GAUNTLET alums include Ignacio “Cubi” Toccalino (Tonkawa 2020, Santa Clara 2019), Juan Britos (Park Place 2020, Park Place 2019), Hilario Ulloa (Park Place 2020 substitute, Las Monjitas 2019), Nico Pieres (Coca-Cola 2020, Park Place 2019) and Sebastian Merlos (Iconica 2019). Follow some of the GAUNTLET’s biggest hitters as they compete across the pond. All games will be livestreamed via guardspoloclub.com/guards-tv with a paid subscription.

There will be 30 games in the Cartier Queen’s Cup, showcasing two of the best players in the world along with some rising young stars. Coming off of a historic win in the 2020 King Power Gold Cup last week, Cambiaso will once again compete with his 14-year-old son Poroto, the youngest player to win it. Adolfo defeated his nephews on Les Lions/Great Oaks, 18-year-old Barto and 17-year-old Jeta Castagnola. The rivalry between these two teams vying for another high-goal championship win cannot be missed.
