Leslie Hindman Auctioneers in West Palm Beach, Florida, will be hosting an auction of over 70 polo items from the collection of Nigel 'a Brassard on Friday, February 23, 2018. A portion of the procedes will be donated to the Museum of Polo and Hall of Fame in Lake Worth, Florida.
Particular highlights of the items include:
•A bronze of Harrison Tweed on a polo pony by Charles Cary Rumsey.
•Polo paintings by Jean Louis Marcel Cosson, John Rattenbury Skeaping, George Denholm Armour, Carl Franz Bauer, Nina Colmore and Joseph Webster Golinkin.
•English silver polo trophy cups and silver cigarette cases by Webster & Co.
•Books including the first books published in England (a rare copy of Polo in India by Sir George John Younghusband, 1890) and in America (a very rare copy of Hugh Louis Fitzpatrick's Equestrian Polo, 1904).
•Thomas Francis Dale's Polo At Home and Abroad (1915) and Alphons Stock's International Sport (1930).

The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
