Are you interested in hosting the fourth annual 2020 USPA Women's Arena Open and Handicap at your facility? Due to COVID-19 complications, the 2020 USPA Women's Arena Open and USPA Women's Arena Handicap will no longer be held at Virginia Polo Inc. in Charlottesville, Virginia this upcoming September/October. Applications are now being accepted for a host club through the deadline of Friday, September 4. Club delegates may apply for consideration through the Tournament Database by logging into the member portal and selecting "Tournaments."
The USPA Women's Arena Open and USPA Women's Arena Handicap attracts some of the highest-rated women arena players in the nation, in a national USPA tournament that will be played for many years to come. This is a landmark event for women's polo in the Association and both tournaments will be livestreamed on the USPA Polo Network via Global Polo TV.
If you have any questions please contact Tournament Coordinator, Kaila Dowd at kdowd@uspolo.org.
Effective Date: Saturday, May 16, 2020
The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
