The National Youth Tournament Series (NYTS) Championship is the most prestigious outdoor competition for youth players in the country. The NYTS program was established to provide youth players the opportunity to compete with and against their peers in USPA outdoor circuit tournaments. Clubs are encouraged to apply now to host the 2023 NYTS Championship, which will take place in September.

Interested clubs must provide the recommendations below and meet the following criteria. For more information, please contact USPA Player Development and Program Manager Hayley Heatley at hheatley@uspolo.org.

Recommendations

Hotel:
Recommendation for hotel to block approximately 35-45 rooms

Banquet Dinner:
Recommendation for restaurant or hotel location to host Welcome Dinner for approximately 110-130 people

Stabling:
Stabling for approximately 140 horses

Rental Horses:
Leads for 75-80 rental horses (included in above count for stabling)

Criteria

Field Needs/Schedule:
Centrally located field or stick-and-ball area to be used for stick and ball and vet checks (Wednesday - Day 1). Two eight chukker practices for both girls and open divisions (Thursday - Day 2). Two semifinal matches for both girls and open divisions (Friday - Day 3). Centrally located field or stick-and-ball area for “Crocodile Open” involving field day type games (Saturday - Day 4). Girls and open consolation matches as well as girls and open finals (Sunday - Day 5).

Facility Needs:
-Each field must have access to bathrooms and either shade or allow tailgating
-Tent or clubhouse for viewing the finals on Sunday
-Trophy wagon or presentation stand for finals on Sunday
-PA system and speakers at all semifinal and final games
-Flaggers, time-keeper/scoring
-Horse ambulance or dedicated rig for this purpose at each practice and game
-Standby ambulance
-Accessibility for livestream equipment and cameras
-Generator if power source not available fieldside
-Field staff
