NWA Polo Club was founded to promote the sport, educate new and experienced players about the rules and their equine teammates as well as serve the community as a cultural attraction. Located near Bentonville, Arkansas, NWA is one of the fastest growing communities in the Ozarks. A family-friendly polo club, NWA has a well-trained team of polo ponies along with a USPA Certified Polo Instructor who can customize a polo experience on and off the field.
NWA plays both grass polo and arena polo at the nearby Benton County Fairgrounds Arena and offers a polo school that can teach players regardless of riding skills ages 12 and up. The polo season runs from June through October, and practices are typically held Thursday evenings. NWA hosts fun social events each season including a USPA middle school tournament and a women's arena challenge affectionately called Chix with Stix. NWA welcomes visiting players offering a combination of stalls or paddock accommodations for horses. The club takes pride and enjoys being involved in the local community as proud supporters of the historic Polo in the Ozarks charity match for Lifestyles, Inc. NWA also offers a work-to-play polo program for youth and in 2018 mentored a group of University of Arkansas students to launch a polo club by providing access to school horses and instruction. NWA is hopeful the student club will grow and join the USPA intercollegiate program and looks forward to educating new members and promoting polo to those who have a passion for fun team sports.
