Cerro Pampa Polo Club located in Petaluma, California, is a very active Northern California polo club, boasting a dedicated membership and welcoming culture. Founded in 1997, Cerro Pampa Polo Club’s founding members were a passionate group of polo player friends from the University of Virginia and Yale University who wanted to continue the sport as part of their post-collegiate lives. The founders chose the 100-acre private property for its beauty, proximity to San Francisco and expansive flat pasture which is now host to the club’s main polo field.
The club is home to multiple professional players, offers lessons, clinics, horse leasing and welcomes all players from high goal to first timers. The polo season runs from May 15 through September 15. Club play during the season takes place on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. The annual club tournament, The Oyster Cup, is held August 24-25 with participation from other clubs in the region. Cerro Pampa Polo Club invites all who wish to join in on the fun to Northern California.

The suspension of USPA Tournaments and Events will be lifted for USPA Member Clubs in locales where hosting polo matches and tournaments is permitted under applicable state and local laws, executive orders and similar decrees. The USPA Member Clubs in these locales are encouraged to follow all such requirements of their state and local authorities with respect to polo operations. In addition, we also encourage all USPA Member Clubs to take the precautions recommended by the CDC. We are preparing a detailed list of best practices for USPA Member Clubs as they return to hosting USPA Tournaments and Events and plan to circulate these guidelines within the next week. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and will notify you if we determine a different course of action is necessary.
