USPA Website Administrator:

The United States Polo Association’s Website Administrator is the staff support function of the USPA Services Department as directed by the USPA Executive Director of Services and CEO, responding to directives and communication objectives as mandated by the Chairman of the Association, the Board of Governors and the annual budget.

Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

● Manages and oversees all aspects of (sport): updating scores, tournament information, news articles and other association-related content.

● Ensures all tournament information is updated immediately – tournament coverage, calendar, scores, schedules, rosters, videos, etc.

● Assists with tournament coverage including interview transcribing

● News and Events – works with the Communications Coordinator and Club Marketing Coordinator to create, format and edit articles for the weekly email blast.

● Works with other team members to gather content and coordinate with clubs for tournament information to create tournament detail pages.

● Proofs and edits web content to ensure it complies with USPA messaging, rules and guidelines as well as AP Style.

● Graphics/Photography – updates tournament sliders and other imagery throughout the website; Resizes photos and organizes photo archives.

● Scoreboard – managing scores, schedule changes and real-time updates during livestreamed games.

● Tracks viewership of livestreamed games on social media platforms and Google Analytics

● Works closely with the Director of Communication and web development company on sport side of the site: new features, reviewing wireframes, gathering content, etc.

● Manages the progression of web changes from entering tickets to completion

● Manages the repository of USPA Polo Network videos.

● Plans and works collaboratively with other teams to manage end-to-end execution of strategic recommendations.

● Assists the Communications Department with digital and print graphic design projects.

Skills/ Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or three to five years’ related experience in website administration or marketing. Must be an excellent writer, detail-oriented and can work under tight deadlines.
  • Requires excellent customer service, oral and written communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency working with a Content Management System and email marketing platforms.
  • Experience working with graphic designers and with graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite) is highly desirable. Need to perform basic Photoshop functions.
  • Must have a passion for sports.
  • Combine administrative, marketing and operations knowledge to achieve organizational goals.
