USPA Social Media Coordinator

USPA Social Media Coordinator:
The United States Polo Association is looking for an experienced and creative Social Media Coordinator, passionate about social media and polo, to join our Communications team. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on the Association’s success and the perception of the sport. As a Social Media Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategy in order to increase online presence and improve brand awareness for the USPA as well as the National Polo Center – Wellington. This position is full time and includes periodic weekend hours due to tournament schedules. The Social Media Coordinator will be comfortable creating and managing multiple social media accounts, implementing and tracking paid ads, developing content to inform, educate and engage the brand’s audience to increase awareness and achieve marketing goals, including spectatorship.

Position Description Includes But Is Not Limited To:

  • Monitor all social media content and maintain unified brand voice across different social media channels on behalf of the company.
  • Develop, curate and schedule content for social media platforms intended for maximum engagement (including written, video and photo content).
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to create a social media calendar, utilizing social media marketing tools such as Later.com.
  • Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability. Execute a results-driven social media strategy.
  • Support Communications team during livestreamed events. Attend events and produce live social media content (including photography), as needed.
  • Responsible for planning and managing paid social media campaigns. Setting key performance indicators (KPIs), such as targets for a certain number of likes or ticket conversions and measuring a campaign’s performance against the KPIs.
  • Articulate creative vision and manage graphic designers for assets intended for social media use.
  • Research and collaborate with influencers surrounding national USPA tournaments and marquee events.
  • Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments.
  • Review analytics and create reports on key metrics.
  • Monitor social media channels for industry trends and keep abreast of the latest social media best practices and technologies

Skills / Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or two years experience as a Social Media Coordinator or similar role
  • Mastery of the major social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and TikTok, and proficient in business posts on each platform.
  • Understanding of the sport of polo and firm grasp on the innerworkings of a polo club.
  • Ability to understand historical, current and future trends in digital content and social media space.
  • Impeccable oral and written communication skills, including strong copywriting and copy-editing ability.
  • Experience with image and video editing software (Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Organized and self-motivated with excellent time management skills, a detail-oriented approach, and willingness to multitask under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
  • Team player, problem-solver and critical thinker.
  • Ability to take initial direction, then transition to a more independent work style.
  • Possess artistic eye and witty sense of humor for optimal post performance.
  • Knowledge of social media analytics software including Sprout Social, Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, etc. to track audience engagement and campaign performance.
