POINT CLEAR INVITATIONAL/MEMORIAL
TOURNAMENT HISTORY
The Point Clear Invitational/Memorial hosted by Point Clear Polo Club (Silverhill, Alabama) is part of the 2022 USPA Legacy Series, which stemmed from an idea to rename and restructure the 10- to 14-goal USPA Regional Classics. Developing the series to increase the demand for medium-goal tournaments and enhance a stronger brand value, the Legacy Series recognizes memorial tournaments from individual clubs tying the rich history of the sport with a prestigious series that unites clubs around the country.
Honoring a collective group of individuals, the 2022 Point Clear Invitational/Memorial will pay tribute to Niki Pilot, Camille Corte, Bo Campbell, George Radcliff and Les Radcliffe. Point Clear is home to original GAUNTLET champions Pilot and team owner Curtis Point who has dedicated numerous efforts to raising funds and awareness following the passing of his daughter Niki of breast cancer in 2019. Fellow Point Clear members and sponsors Kim and Chip Campbell will be honoring their mother and mother-in-law Camille Corte, as well as Chip Campbell's step-father Bo Campbell. Home of the Radcliff family, the Point Clear Invitational/Memorial will also pay tribute to George and Les Radcliff, relatives to Bobby, Self, Hutch and Herndon Radcliffe.
Played at the 14-goal level, the inaugural Point Clear Invitation/Memorial will field four teams including, Pilot, Cessna/Clearwater, No Trees Polo and Hillcroft.
