NATIONAL ARENA CHAIRMAN'S CUP
TOURNAMENT HISTORY
Relocating from Commonwealth Polo Club (Paris, Kentucky), the 9- to 12-goal National Arena Chairman’s Cup returns to Great Meadow Polo Club in The Plains, Virginia, for the first time since 2006. Hosting two teams in 2019, the 2020 National Arena Chairman’s Cup competition has doubled this year to feature four teams, including Celebrity Cruises, Chetwood Park, Twilight Polo and Work To Ride. In addition to the trophy the teams will be competing for $30,000 in total prize money. The prize money will be split by first ($15,000), second ($10,000) and third place ($5,000).
As a National USPA Arena Event, the National Arena Chairman’s Cup is a qualifying tournament for all amateur players -1 through 3 goals to earn points towards the National Arena Amateur Cup (NAAC) which will be held at Legend's Polo Club in Kaufman, Texas, in November 2020. Points will be based on the number of teams and team standing in each tournament. All points will be awarded to each team member, not the team as a whole.
Amongst the competition are Team USPA alumni, Kareem Rosser (Work to Ride), Brandon Rease (Work to Ride), Wyatt Harlow (Chetwood) and Connor Deal (Chetwood).
