Tournament History

The National Amateur Cup played at the 4-goal is national USPA tournament. Established in 2004, the National Amateur Cup was competed for annually at Lexington Polo Association (Lexington, Kentucky) until 2015 when it took a brief hiatus between 2016-2018. The tournament was resurrected in 2019 and hosted at Empire Polo Club (Indio, California) for the first time. Hanalei Bay (Krista Bonaguidi, Joe Coors, Ignacio Saracco, Luis Saracco) claimed the title, defeating Evergreen (Tom Sprung, Quinn Evans, Carlitos Galindo, Taylor Freeman) 8-4. Hanalei Bay's Krista Bonaguidi returns this year to defend the title joined by new teammates Alejandro Gonzalez, Taylor Freeman and Ryan Kerley. Five teams total will compete for the 2020 trophy.
