Girls' National Interscholastic Championship
Tournament History
The Girls' National Interscholastic Championship is part of the United States Polo Association's Intercollegiate/Interscholastic (I/I) polo program, which is dedicated to growing the sport by providing exposure, coordinating activities, recruiting collegiate and scholastic institutions and providing organized competition at regional and national levels with an emphasis on sportsmanship, fairness and safety.
Established in 1991, four teams will be vying to take home the national championship this year including Maryland, Equestrian and Polo Center of Boston, Maui and Houston A. In 2018, Maryland defeated Central Coast Polo Club 26-4 to claim the championship title at the Virginia Polo Center in Charlottesville, Virginia. An impressive victory, the Maryland team consisting of the 2016 victors recaptured their title. This year, Maryland will look to defend their 2018 title and add their interscholastic club name to the trophy for the ninth time.
